Hal Andrews is a co-founder of Mainland Morgan & Co., LLC, a holding company in Nashville, Tennessee with interests in healthcare, information technology and real estate. Through Cruden Bay Advisors, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mainland Morgan, Mr. Andrews provides strategic advisory services to a variety of companies in the healthcare technology and services industries. In addition, Mr. Andrews serves on the Board of Directors for Care Team Connect (www.careteamconnect.com), Shareable Ink (www.shareableink.com), Medify (www.medify.com), SurgiChart (www.surgichart.com), and the Nashville Capital Network (www.nashvillecapital.com). In addition, Mr. Andrews serves on the Advisory Board of Lincor Solutions (www.lincor.com) and TigerText (www.tigertext.com).Prior to founding Mainland Morgan, Mr. Andrews worked for The Martin Companies, the private investment arm of Charles N. Martin, Jr., the Chairman and CEO of Vanguard Health Systems, from January 2010 until April 2011. In that capacity, Mr. Andrews was responsible for sourcing and leading the firm’s healthcare investments, including its investments in Care Team Connect and Shareable Ink. In addition, Mr. Andrews developed the business plan and investment thesis for the Heritage Healthcare Innovation Fund (www.heritagegroupusa.com).
Before joining The Martin Companies, Mr. Andrews served as CEO of Data Advantage, LLC, a healthcare information technology company from August 2007 until December 2009. During his tenure at Data Advantage, Mr. Andrews led the launch of the Hospital Value Index™, the first index to study the value of care delivered by U.S. hospitals to their patients.
A native of Nashville, Mr. Andrews has taken on an entrepreneurial role within the healthcare industry over the past 15 years. In his diverse career, Mr. Andrews has played leading roles in a variety of healthcare companies. He started his career as a hospital mergers and acquisitions attorney, and has gradually transitioned into a role as one of the industry’s key players. Mr. Andrews has served as a leader for a diverse set of companies, including healthcare joint ventures, start-up firms, and large hospital companies.
Mr. Andrews earned undergraduate degrees from Southern Methodist University in history and real estate and graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Tennessee College of Law, where he was a member of The Order of Coif.
